Hello!
I'm Dan Power and I'm a poet based in Dundee. I was shortlisted for the 2024 Edwin Morgan Poetry Award, with judges describing my poems as "delicately humorous, philosophical and psychedelic".
I've performed in venues around the UK, including at the Lancaster Literary Festival and Edinburgh International Book Festival.
As a video artist, I've made exploratory works which blur the lines between film and poetry. My film poems have been screened in Glasgow and London.
I'm currently completing an NWCDTP-funded PhD in Creative Writing at Lancaster University, researching the role generative AI can play as a poetic "muse".
I'm the founding editor of the AI Literary Review, and the visual poetry publisher Trickhouse Press.
